NCSG Statement on US Government Proposal for Scorecard on New gTLDs
Please support NCSG's response to the US Government's recent proposal regarding government objections to new gTLDs and calling for heightened government authority and trademark protection. The GAC is meeting with the ICANN Board in Brussels on 28 February & 1 March 2011 to discuss these issues, so we welcome your support and circulation of our position that this proposal does a complete runaround the ICANN process of community consensus and represents a substantial threat to freedom of expression and the multi-stakeholder model of Internet governance.
